"Anybody who gets your card and sees that you got your cards for free, it just doesn't leave a good impression," he commented.

Instead, he advised that even students and new graduates make a small investment in well-presented cards that contain relevant contact information, including your full name, email address and telephone number.

In some cases, it may also be appropriate to provide information such as your field of study or year of graduation.
