The environmental benefits of green products are highlighted in a series of TV commercials from Planet Ark.
New ads were launched in conjunction with a website, EnvironmentalEdge.com.au, which provides consumers with information on featured products and the effects they have on the environment.
According to marketing publication B&T, consumers would like more information on "better environmental choices" and choosing credible green-friendly products.
The first Environmental Edge commercial will feature Grand Designs Australia television host Peter Maddison and provide information on sustainable wood.
Maddison addressed his commitment to the campaign to B&T, stating: "I care about the place where we all live and the choices we make to enhance our lives and care for the planet.
Environmental Edge gives us the information we need to make better choices."
Many Australians are concerned about how they could minimise their carbon footprint.
Education, awareness and incorporating green practices in a daily routine lead to a sustainable and greener planet.
Managers could also contribute to a greener work environment and provide information on sustainable business practices for employees.
Promoting eco friendly initiatives such as recycled paper, choosing green business cards, effective waste management and turning off electronics when not in use are simple ways to limit the carbon footprint in the workplace.
As well as helping the environment, sustainable business practices could boost your green credentials and contribute to a positive company image.
