Sculpture by the Sea may be a great networking opportunity

Sculpture by the Sea kicks off in Bondi.

Art aficionados and outdoor enthusiasts are warned this year's Sculpture by the sea is already receiving rave reviews.

The quintessentially Sydney event kicked off earlier this week (November 3) and will be on for the next two weeks.

Located on the Bondi to Tamara coastal walk the event showcases the best in local and international talent to increasing crowds.

It is also a way for all the family to enjoy seeing critically-acclaimed works by sculptors that they might otherwise have missed out on.

This year, the seascape will be dotted with impressive works made by a range of local and international artists.

And the opportunity to purchase certain works is also available for those who would like to take a keepsake home.

As well as being a great cultural event the exhibition is also a chance for those working in the arts community to do some serious networking.

Savvy small business owners may be found strolling along the coastal walk with a recycled business card in hand - immediately presenting the image of being a progressive, art-friendly brand.

And while it is rare that such a large event is held in the city of Sydney, especially one that has free entry to the public, the chance to enjoy art in the sun is not to be missed.

Easy access to the walk can be gained just off Campbell Parade, Bondi, which just happens to run alongside the eating and shopping precinct.

Opening in 1997, the concept has been part of the Sydney events calendar for more than a decade.

It took its inspiration from popular community arts activities such as Opera in the Park and Symphony Under the Stars and is proving to be a stand-alone event.
