Report: US graduates choose eco friendly products

Consider a green approach to your job search with an eco business card.

A number of universities are demonstrating their commitment to a greener future and using eco friendly products in the graduation ceremony, according to a report in USA Today.

Rich Stoebe, a Minneapolis-based supplier, commented to USA Today that the company was "seeing a significant increase in demand" in their wood fibre gowns.

The report identified that colleges were providing graduating gowns made from recycled plastic bottles or wood fibres for graduates and businesses that supplied green-friendly gowns were experiencing an increase in sales.

The interest in limiting your carbon footprint and maintaining a greener environment is an important issue for many people.

Although wearing green-friendly gowns is beneficial to the environment, graduates may wish to take the next step and incorporate green practices in their job hunt.

Using sustainable products such as a resume printed on recycled paper or personalised green business cards could benefit new graduates in the competitive job market.

An eco business card is a great way to make a memorable first impression to recruiters and demonstrates your green credentials, as well as your social conscience.

New graduates may wish to include a link to their online resume or other relevant contact details on their personalised business cards.
