Sydney designers prepare for Semi-Permanent

Sydney will host Semi-Permanent later this month.

Semi-Permanent is a worldwide series of creative conference focusing on innovation and inspiration in the design world.

The Sydney event is set to be held on May 13 and 14 and representatives from the graphic design, animation, visual effects, web design, film, stop motion, architecture and photography industries are set to take part.

Recently, About.me founder Tony Conrad told Fox Business that creative professionals may wish to showcase their skills on their business cards.

He highlighted a card featuring "well-shot photography and clean typography" as the key to creative success.

There will be two more Semi-Permanent events in Brisbane and Auckland in August this year, which will be followed by a third Melbourne conference in September.

In previous years, organisers have also held satellite conferences in London and New York.
