Unique business card strategy helps cafe stand out

One entrepreneur attaches candy to her business cards

A unique business card strategy has helped one entrepreneur stand out from the crowd during the launch of her coffee shop and bakery.

Kristen Simonelli, owner and manager of Tootsie's Coffee Corner, told the Wakefield Patch that she is working hard to attract customers to her establishment, which opened earlier this month.

In keeping with the cafe's name, she has decided to attach a Tootsie Roll candy to each of the business cards she hands out.

Unique business card strategies can make a big difference when it comes to creating a memorable first impression.

While attaching sweets to cards won't be practical for everyone, there are a number of different ways you can set your card apart from the rest.

Photographers or artists, for example, may wish to include a sample of their work on their cards - or even have their printing service create several styles of cards so that prospective contacts can choose the one they like best.

Including URLs to professional social media profiles or personal websites can also encourage a contact to find more about you.

Frequently changing your business card design can be an excellent icebreaker at networking events - the new graphics, logo or font can be a talking point and may help you to build a relationship with a new client or industry contact.
