Showing off Google in Sydney

Google representatives will make their way to Sydney this spring

The Australian Google Developer Day has been confirmed for Sydney and will be an opportunity for networking in the web development industry.

"Google Developer Days are a chance to learn about our latest developer products and meet the engineers who work on them," explained Monica Tran from Google's developer marketing team in a blog post announcing the November 8 date.

The event has been run annually in Sydney since 2007 and always presents potential for those in the industry to share business cards as Australian organisations continue to adopt the latest technologies.

Web developers will want to ensure they have their marketing materials ready ahead of the Google event - your printing service will be able to help you create business cards and leaflets.

The US-based search specialist will be sending senior "Googlers" to promote its many platforms and services to Australian businesses.

It seems this year's event in Sydney will focus on mobile technologies coming out of Google, including its Android and Chrome OS platforms, much like the big Google I/O developer conference recently held in the US.

The event also allows Google to get industry feedback from Australian developers.

Developer Days will be held in Brazil, Argentina, Russia, Czech Republic and Japan before arriving in Sydney then subsequently in Israel and Germany.
